How it works

  1. Add a photo

    It fills the front. Pan, zoom and straighten it. What you set is what prints.

  2. Pick a handwriting

    Use one of our styles, upload a font, or trace your own from a photo.

  3. Write the note

    Type it. The pen adds a little wobble and uneven spacing, so no two cards come out exactly alike.

  4. Address it

    Add their address, and yours if you want it on the back. Check it, then send it.

Write a sentence that uses every letter of the alphabet, once normally and once in capitals, and photograph each. We find the letters and use them to write your cards. If we miss one, we’ll ask you to write just that letter.

I wanted an easier way to send postcards. The ones in the shops never felt like mine, and most of them end up in the bin once they've been read. So I made a way to send your own photo with a note in your own handwriting. A card like that is worth keeping. You can even frame it.

Is the note handwritten?

It's written in real ink, but by a pen on a machine, not by a person's hand. If you add your own handwriting, the pen follows your letters.

How do I use my own handwriting?

Photograph one sentence in your normal writing and one in capitals, and the pen follows your letters. The steps are in Use your own handwriting.

How long does delivery take?

Once it's in the mail, delivery is up to the US Postal Service, and we can't promise a date.

What does it cost?

Building a card is free, and you pay when you send it. There's also an optional monthly plan; see Pricing.

Where will you mail it?

Any address in the US.

What size and quality should my photo be?

A normal photo from your phone is fine. You can pan, zoom and straighten it on the card before you send, and what you set is what prints.

What if I get the address wrong?

We mail the card to the address you type, so check it before you pay. If you notice a mistake, write to Henry on the contact page.
